Last week was a really fun packed one! November is definitely one of the busiest months of the year for a London Event Photographer. I love photographing awards, I do really enjoy it as everyone is buzzing, guests are looking glamorous and everyone is really happy to be photographed! I was the Awards Photographer at Park Plaza Westminster for the Laingbuisson Awards 2023, I have photographed these Awards on numerous consecutive years and they never disappoint!
Event Photographer – Westminster
The evening started with a drinks reception, nearly 1,000 guests joined the evening of celebration in the Health and Social Care sector. My aim during the drinks reception is to capture guests networking and interacting, but most of all enjoying themselves! You can often find me capturing the loudest laughter in the room!
London Awards Photographer – Westminster Ballroom
The awards were presented by actor, presenter and comedian Hugh Dennis – he is both a thoroughly entertaining after-dinner speaker and an exceptional corporate awards host. He actually was really helpful at directing guests on stage, which is always greatly appreciated! During his after-dinner speech I mainly focused on capturing – with my Awards Photography – the guests reaction and enjoyment.
After his speech it was time for the main event of the night, the Awards! There are plenty of categories and big groups but I always manage them on stage in a very quick but efficient manner to make sure that I don’t delay the evening. At the same time, I will capture a great winners-on-stage photograph, including the sponsors and the presenter in the right order.
After the Awards are presented the evening isn’t over at all! It is party time! Guests celebrated with their colleagues with some bubbles, and a band allow them to dance the night away!
