The Houses of Parliament in Westminster has iconic rooms to host your event. A few weeks ago I photographed an event at the iconic Cholmondeley Room and Terrace and let me tell you, that is a real treat! Not only do you get all the Victorian features and the largest venue available for hire in The Houses of Lords but you also get access to an adjoining terrace where your guests can sip some bubbles while enjoying the incredible riverside views! As a London Events Photographer I can tell you this venue will be remembered by all your guests and give them plenty to talk about!
The occasion was a lunch anniversary event and we were really lucky with the weather considering the time of the year and that after all we are in the UK, so, that’s right, you never know! I captured all the registration on arrival and the drinks and mingling on the terrace before guests took a seat to enjoy a three course meal.
As food is served I leave the guests to enjoy it (there’s nothing worse than having a photographer hovering around your table as you are trying to eat) but I do make sure that I capture all the animated conversations between courses.
I pride myself on my forensic eye-for-detail. Rest assured, none of those details that make your event will go missing, like this nice touch to serve the petit fours in a parliament branded keepsake box.
After the meal speeches took place and I make sure I capture the speaker animated, the room looking busy as well as the guests looking engaged and their reactions
Guests received certificates and honourable certificates so after the event a group photo was in order as a memory of such a remarkable occasion
I also love to capture the less formal moments, like this one of this couple less staged and more candid and spontaneous photography
As an experienced London Events Photographer I know that punctuality is a must, I always arrive early but as an experienced UK Parliament Events Photographer I know that you have to facture in the airport style security and allow 30 minutes to go through it, and same as flying bring a photographic ID and your event invite, otherwise you aren’t getting in! Needless to say, I dress smart to fit with your occasion so I will blend in with your guests while I capture those spontaneous and natural moments that make your event unique!
