Over the past few weeks I have been reviewing my 2023 archive and I came across this conference. I was the event photographer at 8 Northumberland Avenue in Charing Cross London.
The venue is conveniently located next to Charing Cross station for easy access and also offers perks, such as, during your coffee break you could step outside and visit Trafalgar Square, The National Gallery and down the road, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. It is incredibly central.
The conference was spread over different rooms and on 2 floors. It had the most stunning main room with extremely intricate ceilings and a huge LED screen that really made the presentations stand out!

As a conference photographer – you can see some my conference photography portfolio here – my aim is to capture all aspects of the day, from the arrivals – people queuing outside the venue (showing how popular it is!) registration, the sessions, the audience, the exhibitors and the coffee breaks through to the fun drinks post-conference, as well as everything in between!
The branding the close-ups, the wider shots, you don’t have anything to worry about if you have me on board. I will make sure that everything gets covered, so you can focus on your event and leave the photography to me. That’s right, one thing ticked off your list!
As well as capturing the speakers and the panel discussions with the branding on stage, I focus on capturing the audience – looking engaged, smiling, reacting and interacting. I will also make sure that I get pictures of the room looking full and busy, showcasing the specifics of the venue of choice.
After the busy day at the conference is time to unwind over a drink and on this occasion there was an indoor golf simulator where delegates had the opportunity to put their golfing skills to the test!
